We are working with an internationally renowned Architectural Practice who are actively seeking a talented Principal Designer (BSA) to join their expanding team in Canary Wharf, London. The successful Principal Designer will be working on a wide range of large-scale, high-rise Commercial & Residential projects that dominate the London skyline.

Principal Designer (BSA) Job Overview
Act as Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act across a portfolio of landmark projects
Lead on compliance, embedding safety into the design process from the outset
Drive early engagement with clients and multi-disciplinary design teams to influence safe and sustainable design solutions
Facilitate design risk management workshops and contribute to best practice guidance
Produce and coordinate statutory documentation in line with BSA requirements
Review and challenge design and construction safety information, including risk assessments and method statements
Attend client and design meetings as the trusted advisor on building safety matters
Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to the growth of a high-performing design safety team
Principal Designer (BSA) Job Requirements
Professional with strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act
Experience of working on large, complex projects, ideally within high-rise residential or commercial sectors
Capable of fulfilling the Principal Designer role under the Building Safety Act
Able to integrate safety and risk management into the design process
Confident in delivering training and guidance on design safety matters
Architectural or Engineering background
