The Vacancy
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will prepare quotations, renewals, and endorsements accurately. You will go to market and place both new and existing business within relevant regulations and company procedures. You will administer and service insurance requirements for potential and existing customers across various specialist commercial insurance products, ensuring high-quality service tailored to client needs.
Key duties will include:
* Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with clients and insurers
* Managing existing commercial policies including combined, property, liability, fleet, etc.
* Completing premium financing arrangements
* Working closely with a dedicated Commercial Account Executive
* Advising clients on products based on their needs
* Handling bad debt queries efficiently
* Ensuring all activities comply with FCA regulations and company policies
* Handling complaints per regulation and company policy
* Participating in training and development activities
* Maintaining high customer service standards
* Developing professional relationships and providing expert advice
What we’re looking for:
Successful candidates will have:
* Experience as an Account Handler in a broking environment
* Knowledge of commercial insurance products
* Experience with FCA compliance
* Strong administration and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Numerical accuracy
* Excellent communication skills
* Good time management
* Proficiency in MS Office and ideally Acturis
* Regulatory awareness
