Role: Associate Examinations Assistant
Location: The Corby Sixth Form
Salary/Benefits: Salary is £13.20 per hour
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 5th May to 22nd May (14 days) and 1st June to 19th June (15 days)
Contract Type: Sessional – Hourly Paid

About The Role
We are currently seeking an Associate Examinations Assistant to join our Examinations department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Examinations Assistant, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
Exam Process Integrity & Compliance – Ensure all examinations follow Bedford College Group and Awarding Body regulations, maintaining strict integrity, accuracy and professionalism throughout.
Preparation of Exam Rooms & Materials – Prepare exam rooms, seating plans, adapted papers, announcements and all required materials in advance, ensuring full readiness and compliance with Access Arrangements.
Security, Handling & Dispatch of Exam Papers – Check and log exam paper arrivals, issue and secure materials, maintain confidentiality and ensure completed scripts and documentation are dispatched correctly and on time.
Operational Support & Collaboration – Support the Senior Examinations Administrator/Exams Manager with all aspects of exam delivery, assist with invigilation preparation and complete associated office and administrative tasks.
Statutory Duties & Professional Standards – Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health & safety requirements while engaging in ongoing training and maintaining high professional standards.
About You
Qualifications & Core Training – Level 3 qualification with GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths, plus safeguarding, equality & diversity training and strong IT skills (ECDL/ITQ Level 2 or equivalent).
Administrative & Data Experience – Experienced working in office environments handling confidential information, entering data into databases, following procedures and supporting customer‑focused service delivery.
Teamwork, Independence & Inclusivity – Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, with experience supporting diverse groups and promoting equality and diversity in everyday practice.
Organisation, IT & Communication Skills – Excellent organisational ability, strong customer service, confident communication across face‑to‑face, phone and written methods, and proficient use of Microsoft applications and databases.
Flexibility, Professionalism & Reliability – Calm under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines, maintain a welcoming environment, adapt to changing workloads and work patterns, and contribute positively to team culture.
What is an Associate?
Associates work on a short-term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services, and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate Agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you.
