Role Overview
Are you an experienced infrastructure specialist looking to take the next step in your career? Join us at Guide Dogs as a Senior Technician (Infrastructure) and play a crucial role in ensuring our IT services are robust, secure, and future-ready.
Within our IS Service Delivery team, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining our core infrastructure across physical and cloud environments—managing servers, networks, storage, and endpoint solutions.
You’ll lead project workstreams, contribute to incident management, and be a technical expert for complex challenges. Your expertise will help shape service delivery and support our work with people affected by sight loss.
You’ll manage virtualised environments, cloud infrastructure, and safeguard business continuity and disaster recovery systems. Your insights will influence best practices, improve security, and drive technical improvements.
Collaboration is key—you’ll work with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
What You’ll Bring
Strong technical background in infrastructure and networking, with industry certifications (like CCNA, MCSE) or equivalent experience. Hands-on experience with cloud/hybrid systems, networks, storage, and virtual platforms, plus knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and endpoint management tools such as Intune.
You should be a clear communicator, proactive problem solver, and able to work under pressure across multiple priorities. Passion for technology, collaborative mindset, and the ability to see tangible impacts of your work are essential.
