Role Purpose
To provide high-quality care and early education for children aged 0–5 years in line with the EYFS framework and Little Elms’ Four Pillars curriculum. The Level 3 Educator will ensure children are safe, stimulated, and supported to thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally within a warm, professional environment.
Essential Requirements
* Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (as recognised by the DfE).
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
* Excellent communication skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities
1. Quality of Care & Safeguarding
o Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
o Follow safeguarding policies and procedures in line with statutory guidance.
o Maintain accurate accident, incident, and welfare records.
o Promote positive behaviour using consistent and respectful strategies.
o Adhere to hygiene, health and safety, and mealtime standards.
2. Teaching & Learning
o Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with EYFS.
o Implement Little Elms’ Four Pillars:
+ Little Athletes – physical development and outdoor learning
+ Little Artists – creativity and expressive arts
+ Little Innovators – STEM and curiosity‑led learning
+ Little Well‑Beings – emotional literacy and wellbeing
o Observe, assess and track children’s development.
o Contribute to planning meetings and reflective practice.
o Support children with SEND, following IEPs and external professional guidance.
Desirable
* Experience working in a busy nursery setting.
