We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about supporting people and helping managers navigate employee relations with care, fairness and confidence. As an Employee Relations Advisor at Travelodge, you’ll help sustain a culture of line management ownership, facilitating a pragmatic, best practice and human approach to ER. You’ll be responsible for driving and supporting the timely conclusion of both low and high complexity ER matters. You’ll be part of a supportive central ER team, working together on a wide range of cases, from day-to-day matters to more complex situations.
This is a 12 month FTC.
What’s it all about?
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for managers and colleagues, leading a variety of ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances and appeals, through to whistleblowing, serious incidents, absence and performance management and post-employment complaints. You’ll also play a key role in managing more complex matters such as ACAS and Employment Tribunal claims, working closely with our ER Manager and legal partners to achieve the best outcomes and minimise risk.
Alongside casework, you’ll coach and support managers to build their confidence in handling people issues, and guide our People Services team on lower-level ER activity. You’ll keep records and reports up to date, spot trends, and share insights to improve how we support our colleagues.
You’ll also contribute to wider HR projects, policy development and training programmes, including initiatives that drive our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. This is a varied role where no two days are the same - one day you might be supporting a manager through a complex investigation, and the next you’ll be shaping how we manage and develop our people for the future.
