We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipeline Graduate Engineer to join our pipeline engineering team supporting Costain's efforts from front-end and detailed design through to construction and commissioning of energy projects. The role offers training to develop technical competencies in pipeline engineering, with exposure to pipeline design and construction management. As your knowledge grows, the role will expand to include pipeline mechanical design, route selection, and other critical aspects of pipeline engineering. Costain is positioning itself as a key player in green and sustainable energy solutions, with projects in carbon capture and hydrogen generation, storage, and distribution, covering all project phases from concept to commissioning. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative team delivering high-value, efficient solutions to our clients.
Costain Graduate Development Programme
Our programme focuses on developing both leadership and technical skills through a structured training scheme that supports achieving Chartership in your chosen field. After 8-10 months, graduates may rotate across various projects in the UK over two years, gaining diverse experience across sectors. Our line managers are fully supportive and involved in your development.
Responsibilities
* Deliver design work in accordance with company procedures under the guidance of a Lead Engineer.
* Support the pipeline engineering team in resource planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
* Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement to the Lead Pipeline Engineer and Discipline Manager.
* Ensure activities comply with legal, health, safety, sustainability, and environmental policies, managing activities in line with company and client requirements.
Qualifications
* MSc in Pipeline Engineering, Offshore and Ocean Technology (Specialising in Pipeline Engineering), or Subsea and Pipeline Engineering.
* Formal education or experience in pipeline engineering.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Mobility to work across various projects and locations in the UK during the 2-year programme.
* Strong team player with proactive communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Commitment to health, safety, environmental standards, and risk management.
