About the Role
Our client is recruiting a GP with an Extended Role (GPwER) in ADHD/Mental Health to join its expanding community neurodevelopmental service.
Working alongside an experienced consultant-led multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support the assessment, monitoring, and ongoing management of adults with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions within a community-based setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP with an interest in mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders looking to further specialise within a growing service.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct ADHD assessments, follow-up reviews, and medication monitoring
Support patient management including titration, prescribing, and treatment planning
Manage patient queries and provide clinical advice regarding ADHD medications and side effects
Review and interpret investigation results including ECGs and blood tests
Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, GPs, and MDT colleagues
Support clinical governance, audits, and service development initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation using SystmOne and associated clinical systems
Contribute to patient education and support around ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders
What We’re Looking For
Essential
MRCGP qualification
General psychiatry or mental health experience
Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders
Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills
Ability to work independently and flexibly within community services
Desirable
Previous ADHD or neurodevelopmental service experience
Experience delivering education or training
Experience within community mental health services
Experience using SystmOne
