We are expanding our team and seeking a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join FormelD Operations.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting customer containment and rework activities to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality, exceeding customer expectations
* Supporting achievement of Customer Key Project Indicators (KPIs)
* Supervising a team of permanent Quality Inspectors, temporary support staff, and adhoc team members such as Mechanics and Electricians
* Ensuring all team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively
* Coordinating and executing quality containment and rework projects to protect OEM production
* Passing acceptable parts online to prevent disruption to customer builds
* Managing onboarding and induction of new employees according to company standards
* Training and setting standards for quality inspection and reworking activities, including use of eQCC
* Conducting random checks and audits for process adherence and quality standards
* Creating Statements of Work for reworking and inspection projects
* Ensuring smooth material flow and inspecting/reworking parts as needed
* Using eQCC for data capture on all inspection and rework projects
* Liaising with OEMs, customers, and suppliers
* Supporting accurate and timely timesheet submissions
* Promoting waste reduction and accident prevention
* Following accident procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
* Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Ensuring HR processes related to employee performance and discipline are followed
Requirements:
* Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Strong background in conducting and supporting quality audits
* Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor teams
* Customer management experience
* Good knowledge of eQCC equipment and MS Office tools
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive attitude
* Adherence to company procedures and health & safety standards
* Valid UK driving license and RTW in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship available)
