Job Description
This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the office (Canterbury).
Job Purpose:
The Senior Marketing Executive plays a crucial role in driving the success of our events through strategic input and hands-on execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns. Working directly with the Global Events Manager, you will ensure marketing initiatives are effective in achieving commercial objectives, enhancing audience engagement, and maximising sponsor satisfaction. The role involves leading complex campaigns, overseeing their full lifecycle from audience targeting and content creation to performance analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially savvy, and capable of delivering measurable results while upholding brand consistency and innovating marketing approaches to support the growth and reputation of The Recruitment Events Co.'s events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Marketing Strategy & Planning:
* Contribute to and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for assigned event portfolios, aligning with the vision of the Business Operations Director and Global Events Manager.
* Conduct market research and audience analysis to identify opportunities and inform campaign planning.
* Define and monitor marketing objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
* Help refine the global events 'playbook' regarding marketing best practices.
* Campaign Leadership & Execution:
* Lead the end-to-end execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive registrations, sponsorships, and exhibitor engagement.
* Oversee creation of compelling marketing collateral with high-quality copy and visuals.
* Manage campaign budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and ROI.
* Implement audience targeting strategies and manage CRM systems for lead nurturing and sales support.
* Performance Analysis & Optimisation:
* Monitor and analyze campaign performance against KPIs, providing reports and strategic recommendations.
* Use data analytics to identify trends and opportunities, adjusting campaigns in real-time for better effectiveness.
* Produce post-event reports and ROI summaries for sponsors.
* Test new campaign formats and messaging strategies to improve effectiveness.
* Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including sponsors, to ensure campaign success.
* Brand & Content Oversight:
* Ensure all marketing communications adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone.
* Contribute to templating and adapting collateral for global use.
* Drive content strategy for websites, email campaigns, and social media.
Experience and Skills:
* 3-5 years' proven experience in marketing, with significant event marketing or related field experience.
* Strategic and analytical thinking with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
* Commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue through marketing.
* Successful leadership of complex marketing campaigns from start to finish.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Proficiency in CRM, email marketing platforms, CMS, and analytics tools.
* Interpersonal skills for effective relationship building.
* Proactive, results-oriented, adaptable, and innovative mindset.
