Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in planning, designing, and executing water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
2. Prepare engineering documents including drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and reports.
3. Support project managers with permit applications, cost estimates, schedules, and client deliverables.
4. Conduct field inspections, site evaluations, and data collection as needed.
5. Coordinate with internal multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including municipal agencies and utility authorities.
6. Provide engineering support during construction, including shop drawing reviews and responding to RFIs.
Qualifications
7. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
8. 2-6 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering or related infrastructure projects.
9. EIT certification preferred; ability to obtain PE license within expected timeframe a plus.
10. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or WaterCAD/ SewerCAD.
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
12. Familiarity with New Jersey regulatory processes (NJDEP, local utilities) is a plus.

A successful Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater should have:
13. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
14. Knowledge of water and wastewater system construction processes and regulations.
15. Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
