Job Overview
As Director for Children and Young People, you will lead the expansion of children’s services in North Yorkshire, focusing on screening, decision making, and collaboration with multi‑agency partners.
About The Role
North Yorkshire Council is known for outstanding childcare provision. We are creating a new position to strengthen our family help and multi‑agency child protection teams.
Responsibilities
* Screen contacts and make decisions on referrals.
* Attend and present information at Group Screening meetings.
* Work closely with multi‑agency partners.
* Support the development of specialist interest portfolios.
* Maintain a fast‑paced office environment.
Requirements
The successful applicant must hold fully qualified accredited social work professional status and have experience in social work. They should understand the Signs of Safety model and thrive in a fast‑paced office.
