The role
As a Planning Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working on the latest cutting-edge technology for the Royal Navy ensuring the continuous at sea deterrent which ensures the safeguarding of the UK.
Day-to-day, you’ll identify the maintenance data and work required for the future submarine maintenance periods.
1. Resolve any planning and scheduling ambiguities within these activities.
2. Provide regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders to ensure accuracy and achievement of the required quality.
3. Build the indicative planning schedule (key date schedule) for the maintenance work activities.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites around once per month.
Essential experience of the Planning Engineer
4. Experience working as a Planning Engineer on complex engineering projects.
5. Understanding of relevant systems such as P6 or Microsoft project.
6. Understanding of data and how it needs to be organised.
Qualifications for the Planning Engineer
7. Ideally hold an HNC or HND, although this is not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
