Role Overview
*
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4—and KS5 teaching is available for suitably qualified candidates
*
Lead inquiry-driven practical work and investigations, embedding scientific literacy and data analysis skills
*
Contribute to curriculum design, integrating cross-curricular STEM modules such as environmental science and computer science
*
Oversee Science-related extracurricular activities, including the Science Club, fair preparation, robotics projects, and university outreach
*
Use assessment data to plan targeted interventions, ensuring all learners—particularly high achievers and those needing support—reach their full potential
Candidate Profile
*
Holds QTS and a Science degree, preferably in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
*
Has a strong track record delivering secondary Science education—with confidence in lab management, risk assessment, and safe practical delivery
*
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and the ability to differentiate for a wide range of abilities
*
Values collaboration, has experience in department curriculum planning, and can contribute to CPD delivery
