About the Role
We’re looking for confident, committed people to join our team as an Environmental Enforcement Officer. The role involves foot patrol across the city centre and outer boroughs, identifying environmental offences and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to offenders.
What you’ll do
* Patrol busy areas and outer boroughs on foot throughout your shift
* Challenge and issue FPNs to individuals committing offences such as littering, dog fouling, and fly‑tipping
* Record activity accurately in reports and statements
* Educate the public on environmental responsibilities
* Work independently and as part of a supportive enforcement team
What we’re looking for
* Strong communication skills and professional presence
* Resilience and confidence when dealing with the public
* Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor patrols in all weather
* Reliable, proactive, and detail‑focused
* Driving licence preferred (not essential)
