As a Registered Nurse atNightingale Hammerson you will play a pivotal role in ensuring thatthe personal needs of our residents are met in a way that respectstheir dignity and promotesindependence.
Whatwill your typical dayinvolve
* Coordinatingand undertaking the personal and nursing care of our residents inline with the Person & Relationship Centered Caremodel
* Leading supporting mentoring anddeveloping our Health Care Assistants and Senior Health CareAssistants
* Lesioning with relatives andexternal agencies including attending residentsmeetings
* Dealing with daytoday managementissues responding to roster changes arranging coveretc
* Accessing residents physical psychologicalsocial cultural and spiritual needs and ensuring care plansproduced by supervised staff areeffective
* Auditing updating and reviewing careplans
* Supporting multidisciplinary meetings foreach resident at key points six weeks from admission a change incondition and annually
* Supporting residents endof life care through the Gold Standard Framework(GSF)
* Assisting and supporting the QualityAssurance system
* Actively participating ineducation and reflective workshops andforums
Who are welooking for
You will be aRegistered General or Mental Health Nurse and ideally aspecialisation in Dementia and End of LifeCare.
You will have a track record of providingcare services to older people with dementia and developing staffmembers.
You take pride in ensuringyour work is always completed to a high standard and can maintainan organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at onceyoull be comfortable multitasking able to work on your owninitiative unsupervised and where necessary working with otherteams to ensure our residents are kept happy in theirhome.
You will have a cheerful compassionaterespectful and caring approach and good communication andinterpersonal skills and the desire to make a positive contributionto the lives of others.
