RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Discount Modelling Analyst to join our Consumer Pricing & Value team. This role offers significant opportunity to influence RAC’s discounting and pricing decisions across our largest P&L, supporting trading performance, profitability and customer outcomes.
Working alongside experienced pricing specialists, you’ll help develop and enhance discount and pricing models using expert analysis, market insight and innovation. This is a hands‑on analytical role where your work directly supports real commercial decisions.

What You’ll Do
Pricing, Discounting & Modelling
1. Support delivery of Consumer pricing strategy and initiatives, driving trading performance and profitability
2. Develop and enhance discount and pricing models to predict customer behaviour (propensity to buy, cancel or claim)
3. Use statistical modelling tools (e.g. Emblem, Python) to improve predictiveness and model performance
4. Analyse price trials and competitor pricing data to support price and discount optimisation
5. Build forecasting models and explain weekly and annual variances versus forecast
Data, Validation & Optimisation
6. Reconcile, validate and prepare datasets to ensure modelling inputs are robust
7. Explore new data sources, modelling techniques and tools to enhance pricing insight
8. Monitor and validate model performance over time, recommending corrective action where required
9. Support optimisation activity using behavioural and pricing data
Governance, Regulation & Collaboration
10. Ensure pricing and discounting decisions align with FCA regulatory guidance
11. Adhere to governance and pricing sign‑off processes
12. Work closely with Acquisition and Retention Squads, Pricing, Finance, Marketing and Insights teams
13. Build strong working relationships with compliance partners
What You’ll Bring
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
14. Experience in pricing, analytics or a relevant field such as Insurance, Banking or Finance
15. Experience in discount modelling desirable
16. Strong understanding of pricing and analytical techniques (e.g. GLMs / GBMs)
17. Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
18. Experience using SQL, Snowflake or SAS
19. Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
20. Experience with modelling tools
21. Exposure to optimisation tools (Radar Optimiser, Earnix) beneficial but not essential

22. Strong delivery focus when handling complex analytical challenges
23. Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to build trust and credibility
24. Commercially minded with good financial awareness
25. Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, regulated environment

This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bristol office twice per week, Tues & Wed.
Salary aligned with market and experience, plus a conditional annual bonus.
