* This Buyer role is ideal for candidates with a buying and merchandising background with experience gained from UK general merchandise
* NW London based min 3 days a week
The role:
* The successful Buyer will optimise product margins, ensure stock availability, and negotiate competitive customer focused ranges across multiple general merchandise categories focusing on lifestyle themes.
* In the role the Buyer will drive sourcing strategies, maintain seamless product availability and support promotional initiatives.
* Having excellent data and analytics skills the Buyer will use data driven decision making, analysing sales and stock feed data to make informed purchasing decisions that drive cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
* Using their ecommerce experience the Buyer will build and maintain relationships with suppliers and third-party marketplace sellers, securing competitive pricing while ensuring quality and consistency.
* This fast growing scale up is growing at a fast rate and the Buyer will be continuously improving ways of working and processes.
Ideal candidate:
* You will currently be working as a senior buyer, category manager or merchandiser with experience gained from the UK in any category of general merchandise ideally you will have retail and ecommerce sector experience, ideally you will have a blend of buying and merchandising experience across branded buying
* Ideally you will have experience of working with a partner such as Amazon, Ebay or Shopify
* As Buyer it is essential to be able demonstrate excellent supplier management, negotiation and margin focused skills
* In this role the buyer will selecting and ranging rather than developing product, you must have a flair for curating ranges that include trending products
* It is essential that you can demonstrate a proven track record of high attention to detail and organisation with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* You will be highly personable and engaging and will build relationships internally and externally with stakeholders
* For the buyer role it is essential to have fantastic data and analysis skills
* You will have the drive and ambition to progress within the organisation as the company grows
* You will thrive in a fast paced start up culture that is growing, evolving at an extremely quick pace
* It is essential to have excellent IT skills across Word, Excel and Powerpoint along with good data analysis skills.
Benefits & details:
* Salary up to circa £60k plus bonus and benefits
* Role is min 3 days in the office in North West London, 2 days at home
* Excellent opportunity to progress into more senior position
