As Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance, you’ll support operational excellence and ensure products and processes consistently meet customer and regulatory standards.
You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE, suppliers, and customers to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across the site. Reporting the the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure supplied and manufactured products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements
* Support and maintain ISO 9001 compliance and contribute to the Integrated Management System (IMS)
* Investigate non-conformances and lead CAPA activities
* Carry out structured problem solving using 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, and PPM reporting
* Conduct internal and supplier audits and support external ISO audits
* Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier improvement activities
* Drive quality and process improvement initiatives across the business
* Provide guidance and support on quality standards and best practice
* Work collaboratively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, and HSE teams
* Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Information Security, and Data Protection standards.
What they are looking for
* Experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance within manufacturing or precision engineering
* Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
* HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Completed mechanical apprenticeship
* Experience with quality methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto, and PPM
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* SAP and Microsoft Office experience
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
* Internal, supplier, or system auditing experience
* Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
* Six Sigma Green Belt qualification
* QHSE experience
