Internal vacancy – available exclusively to employees of NHS Golden Jubilee.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the Resuscitation Service as Assistant Resuscitation Officer at NHS Golden Jubilee.
As a national resource for NHS Scotland, the Golden Jubilee is home to regional and national heart and lung services, a major centre for orthopaedics, and plays a national role in reducing waiting times in key elective specialties.
Primarily this is a teaching role: you will deliver resuscitation training at a variety of levels to all Golden Jubilee hospital clinical and non‑clinical staff.
The post also involves undertaking defined projects related to the service and routinely attending cardiac arrests to provide clinical input and advice during the event, as well as giving feedback following an arrest. This is a vital role for patient safety and for developing the knowledge and skills of all clinical staff.
You will be a registered nurse (degree or diploma), ODP or paramedic with recent and progressive experience in an acute adult setting – e.g. intensive care, coronary care, emergency department, anaesthetics or as a Resuscitation Officer. You should be willing to work towards Resuscitation Council (UK) ALS Instructor status (if not already held).
You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, time‑management and organisational skills, together with an ability to be very self‑motivated and to work effectively as part of a team.
The applicant must have a thorough working knowledge of the current resuscitation guidelines.
As a disability‑confident leader, we are committed to ensuring our recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible to all. If you have a disability or long‑term health condition covered by the Equality Act 2010 and need support for any stage of the recruitment process, please refer to the job pack for more information.
NHS Golden Jubilee encourages applications from all sections of the community, promoting a culture of inclusion across the organisation and celebrating a diverse workforce.
