PVG / Disclosure Scotland
All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks are subject to the following criteria:
For posts considered Regulated Roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed.
Successful candidates will bear the cost of the relevant check, which will be deducted from their first salary payment. In some circumstances, this deduction may be made in installments from wages after employment begins, subject to approval by the HR & OD Manager.
If an employee leaves before the deduction is complete, the remaining amount will be deducted from their final salary.
This policy also applies to existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
