Job Role & Purpose
You will coordinate the Day Shift FLT Team, ensuring that goods and materials arriving on site via vehicle are put into the relevant bays for onward transportation within specified standards and scheduled deadlines. You will also ensure that the deck and warehouse are managed systematically, productively and safely.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Coordinate the Deckworker Team to ensure efficient flow of inbound goods and materials.
* Ensure that all goods and materials are unloaded and put into the relevant bays for onward transportation within specified standards and scheduled deadlines.
* Maintain and nurture customer relationships, ensuring proactive resolution of issues to minimise customer impact.
* Ensure that any unresolved logistical issues are discussed promptly with the Night Hub Manager to secure a timely resolution.
* Utilise the company in‑house systems to ensure safe and efficient goods monitoring and communication processes.
* Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure logistics are consistently reviewed and audited, maintaining standards, deadlines and customer experience.
* Ensure accurate inventory tracking and accounting.
* Perform QA duties, reporting any product damage and shortages promptly to the Night Manager.
* Keep work areas clear and clean, promoting the principle of clean‑as‑you‑go wherever possible.
* Report any maintenance issues to equipment or vehicles promptly to the Night Manager.
* Conduct regular reviews and audits on warehouse logistics, recommending improvements where possible to the Night Manager.
* Create deck and warehouse metric reports as required.
* Complete any other reasonable duties as instructed by the management team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new starters.
* Provide oversight and direction to your team.
* Lead staff using a performance‑management and development process, including objective setting, feedback and identifying training & development needs.
* Receive complaints and resolve problems.
* Contribute to decisions on reward and promotion, ensuring these are based on performance measurement.
* Manage and record attendance, including timekeeping, sickness absence and annual leave.
* Ensure security of all personal or sensitive company data at all times.
Salary and Working Conditions
* 48 hours per week, with working hours subject to role requirements.
* £14.59 per hour.
* 25 days annual holiday entitlement plus statutory Bank Holidays, increasing with level of service.

Experience
* Pallet Network: 2 years (preferred).
* FLT Counter Balance: 2 years (required).
