Partnering closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Divisional Presidents, the role shapes pricing, margin, utilisation, innovation and investment, and product and client economics across the end to‑end commercial lifecycle, balancing growth ambition with margin discipline, delivery risk and return on investment.
The role leads and builds a high‑performing Commercial Finance function, embedding scalable commercial models, consistent performance management and a strong focus on value creation at pace and scale across the organisation.

2. Revenue & Margin Optimisation
5. Lead, through the Commercial Finance team, revenue and margin optimisation across all divisions, driving disciplined commercial decisions, sustainable profitability and improved cash conversion
6. Deliver forward‑looking commercial insight to improve revenue, gross margin and contribution performance across the Group

8. Develop deep understanding of client and product level economics, coaching the Commercial Finance team to maximise client and product lifetime value
9. Work with key stakeholders to identify and operationalise new commercial initiatives, ensuring go‑to‑market models, robust pricing and delivery of target ROI underpinned by strong data and scenario modelling
3. Business Partnering & Influence

11. Develop the capability of the Commercial Finance team with a focus on commercial acumen, actionable insight and effective decision making
12. Partner with key stakeholders and their teams to understand target market opportunities and provide clear, actionable insight that shapes sales strategy, go‑to‑market models and growth initiatives
13. Influence outcomes through a broad range of styles, adjusted to suit the situation
4. Performance Management & Planning
14. Lead commercial / divisional planning, forecasting and target‑setting cycles
15. Develop and embed performance management framework focused on value drivers, not just financial outcomes
16. Partner closely with Group FP&A to align commercial insight with financial planning and reporting
17. Ensure divisional planning and reporting processes are fit for purpose, consistently applied and support the achievement of performance targets
5. Operating Model & Capability Development
18. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team (FLT), lead and drive the business transformation of Group wide processes as part of the ERP change project
19. Working with the FLT, develop the Finance Target Operating Model (TOM) that provides business value in the most effective and efficient way, and lead the transformation of the function to this future state
20. Design and evolve the Commercial Finance team aligned to the TOM
21. Build high‑performing teams with strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and business impact
22. Embed digital, data and AI‑enabled approaches to insight, modelling and forecasting

24. Operates as a true enterprise leader, prioritising Group outcomes.
25. Plays an active role in the continual evolution of the Finance vision, leading the change across the function with pace and credibility
