The department is organised around Population Health and Health Protection. The postholders will work within a Population Health Team which involves place-based working focusing on partnership, prevention, and inequalities.
Reducing the harms from smoking is a key priority for Scotland as we work towards a smokefree nation over the next decade. NHS Lothian is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Quit Your Way team and helps us improve our performance supporting people to quit smoking.
You will be responsible for delivering direct smoking cessation services, providing support to individuals and groups wanting to quit smoking. Your strong communication and influencing skills will be essential in engaging a variety of partners and enhancing our outcomes. You will also play a key role in influencing the healthcare workforce and partner agencies to boost engagement with Quit Your Way services.
The role is a fulltime fixed term post for 24 months that will be based in Pennywell All Care Centre, but it is expected that the post holder will travel throughout Edinburgh to deliver smoking cessation services and engage a variety of partners and agencies.
