Position at Resolver
No two days at Resolver will look the same. One day, you might work with our Machine Learning team to ensure they have data to train a model that classifies collected content. The next, you could help our Data Scientists optimize a graph schema to uncover networks of bad actors. Then, you might work alongside our Data Analysts to optimize storage strategies, improving database query efficiency.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will manage data projects, ensuring efficient data flow, storage, and management for operational and analytical purposes. You will coach and mentor junior team members, developing their skills and promoting best practices. Part of your role will involve leveraging new technologies to keep us at the forefront of development. Resolver is product-led, so maintaining high-quality product development and operation is essential to ensure a positive user experience both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage data pipelines for efficient processing, storage, and access of operational and analytical data flows.
2. Manage data acquisition from internal departmental systems, optimizing for scale and automating manual processes.
3. Continuously seek opportunities to improve data quality.
4. Integrate data across multiple internal sources.
5. Support the development of data schemas for effective data management.
6. Advise on best-in-class technology and tools for data management and integration.
7. Work independently and seek help or knowledge when needed.
8. Own key projects, ensuring timely delivery and high standards.
9. Conduct transparent, repeatable, and robust data analysis.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders across data, design, product, and executive teams, assisting with technical issues.
11. Engage actively in organizational transformation initiatives.
Experience and Skills:
* BSc in a related subject or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a data-related field.
* Experience building and managing big data pipelines across multiple systems.
* Knowledge of big data tools, primarily GCP.
* Ability to use REST APIs and manipulate data in SQL.
* Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
* Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences.
* Experience working collaboratively in teams.
* Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Neo4J’s Cypher query language.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with various stakeholders.
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
