Job Description
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and produce monthly management accounts for maintenance and repairs, ensuring accurate accounting of expenditures and capital spend.
4. Budget Management: Assist with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts for repairs and maintenance functions.
5. Analysis and Insight: Provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance reports to help budget holders make informed decisions.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in finance, operations, and development teams to deliver excellent financial services.
7. Strategic Support: Support strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial information and analysis for development and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
8. Accurate accounting of development projects, maintenance expenditure, and capital spend.
9. Producing variance analysis and performance reports.
10. Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
11. Providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
12. Working with non-finance colleagues across different departments.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Repairs Accountant should have:
13. QBE, Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or fully qualified accountants considered.
14. Experience in management accounting and reporting.
15. Ideally experience within the Housing sector (or similar)
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
17. Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
18. Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
