Key Responsibilities of an HGV Class 1 Recovery Driver Attend recovery jobs for a range of customers both locally and nationally Safely recover vehicles that cannot be repaired at the roadside Manage your workload independently using a PDA system Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure high standards are maintained Record job details accurately in line with company procedures
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Class 1 Recovery Driver Essential Full UK driving licence with Category C+E and valid DCPC Strong communication skills and confident dealing with customers and control Basic mechanical knowledge (training can be provided) Good geographical knowledge Flexible and adaptable to business needs Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Vetting approval required to support West Midlands Police operations where applicable
Desirable Previous recovery experience ADR and IVR qualifications
