Technical Delivery Lead
The Technical Delivery Lead at Seechange plays a senior, hands-on role in driving the successful delivery of technical solutions for customers and partners. This position is accountable for technical excellence across delivery engagements, ensuring solutions are designed, implemented, and operated to achieve strong customer outcomes and align with Seechange's strategic objectives.
Reporting to the VP Delivery, the Technical Delivery Lead provides day-to-day leadership to technical delivery teams, combining deep technical expertise with strong people leadership and stakeholder management. The role remains hands-on, actively contributing to solution design, complex troubleshooting, and technical decision-making, while also setting direction, standards, and best practices across delivery.
The Technical Delivery Lead works closely with customers and delivery partners, acting as a senior technical authority and trusted advisor. They are responsible for ensuring delivery quality, managing technical risk, and continuously improving delivery processes, tools, and ways of working to enhance efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key activities include leading technical delivery across multiple customer engagements, overseeing deployments and integrations, mentoring and developing technical team members, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes. The role bridges strategy and execution, ensuring that delivery teams are well-supported and that customers receive robust, scalable, and well-operated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on technical leadership across customer and partner engagements, ensuring solutions are designed and delivered to a high standard
* Lead and oversee complex deployments, integrations, and upgrades across multiple environments
* Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution
* Ensure technical solutions align with Seechange architecture, security, and operational best practices
* Support pre-delivery technical discovery, shaping solutions that meet customer requirements and delivery constraints
Team Leadership & Development
* Manage and mentor Technical Consultants / Engineers and other technical delivery roles
* Provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback to support team development and progression
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the delivery team
* Ensure the team follows defined delivery processes while encouraging constructive improvements
* Support resource planning and workload prioritisation in collaboration with the VP Delivery
Customer & Partner Engagement
* Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers and delivery partners.
* Lead or contribute to customer-facing technical workshops, design sessions, and delivery reviews
* Build trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders to drive confidence and long-term value
* Work closely with partners to ensure effective integration, alignment, and delivery execution
* Clearly communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Operational Excellence & Improvement
* Ensure operational stability across customer environments, working proactively to reduce risk and improve reliability
* Drive improvements in deployment practices, tooling, documentation, and runbooks
* Oversee and contribute to high-quality technical documentation, including architecture designs, delivery standards, and operational guides
* Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to provide feedback on delivery insights and customer needs
* Support testing, validation, and readiness of new releases and features from a delivery perspective
Skills & Attributes
* Strong hands-on experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or technical delivery roles
* Proven ability to lead technical delivery while remaining actively involved in implementation and problem-solving
* Strong understanding of modern software systems, including:
o Cloud-hosted and SaaS platforms
o APIs, integrations, and data flows
o Production environments, monitoring, and operational support
* Confident in reading, understanding, and troubleshooting code, logs, and system behaviour
* Extensive hands-on experience with Linux, with a strong focus on edge computing environments.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills across multiple delivery streams.
* Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop technical teams
* Clear, confident communicator able to engage effectively with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Desirable Experience
* 5+ years' experience in a technical delivery, engineering, or consultancy role
* Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage, especially French, German, and Spanish
* Experience leading technical teams and managing direct reports
* Background in customer-facing delivery roles within a SaaS or technology company
* Experience working with delivery partners and third-party integrations
* Exposure to scaling delivery operations or improving delivery processes is an advantage
