The role of a Support Worker
As a Support Worker, your role centres on supporting residents in our care home to live fulfilling lives and do what they enjoy. You will:
* Work across different areas within the care home
* Assist with daily tasks and routines within the home
* Take part in activities with the residents
* Help residents develop and maintain key life skills
* Encourage independence and personal choice
* Accompany residents on outings and support them in engaging with the community
What we need from you
Our Luppitt service is bringing support work into the 21st century; it's fresh, new and exciting and we want people who will run with that idea. No experience is necessary as full training is provided so if you are flexible, imaginative, creative, caring and can think on your feet we want to hear from you.
Given the rural nature of this service it's best that you have access your own vehicle.
Your pay and benefits
In reward for your hard work and dedication as a Support Worker you will receive:
* £12.40 per hour
* 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Extra 12.7% pay for relief staff members (Please Note: The higher hourly rate offered for this relief position is designed to compensate for the absence of paid annual leave. This means that while you receive an increased rate of pay, you will not accrue paid holiday time as part of this role.)
* Additional annual leave after 3 and 5 years service
