Catering Assistant
Location: Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and surrounding areas
Hours: 8am-5.30pm (rota basis including weekends)
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temporary ongoing
About the Role:
MPA Recruitment, on behalf of our client, are currently recruiting for Catering Assistants to work across a range of healthcare and public sector settings in Belfast.
This role involves supporting kitchen and catering teams to deliver high-quality meal services while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards. The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation and serving of meals in line with set menus
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times
* Support kitchen operations including dishwashing, cleaning, and stock rotation
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and infection control procedures
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required
* Work efficiently as part of a team to deliver a quality catering service
What We're Looking For:
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment
* Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
* Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
* An enhanced Access NI disclosure will be required for this post.
