About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Helpdesk Manager to join a leading financial services organisation during a period of growth.
Youll lead a talented IT team, overseeing day-to-day helpdesk operations and managing the organisations infrastructure. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to shape the delivery of IT services, drive process improvement, and lead a team committed to providing outstanding technical support. You will have a deputy reporting into you alongside a team of six.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop the IT Helpdesk and Infrastructure team.
Manage IT systems including servers, networks, and storage to ensure reliability and performance.
Oversee daily service delivery, ensuring SLAs are met and customer satisfaction remains high.
Manage and improve helpdesk processes, ticketing systems, and documentation.
Act as a key escalation point for complex technical issues.
Drive infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.
Ensure cybersecurity best practice, patch management, and compliance with internal policies.
Manage third-party vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Report on IT performance, risks, and project progress to senior stakeholders.
About You
Proven experience managing IT support or infrastructure teams.
Minimum 5 years experience in IT management within a professional or financial services environment.
Strong technical knowledge across networks, servers, and helpdesk systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Relevant IT or Computer Science qualification (degree or equivalent).
