With a strong reputation for delivering complex projects safely and efficiently, they are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to join their growing team based in Chichester.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for health and safety to develop their career within the construction sector. Working as part of an established team of three – including a Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Advisor – you will play a key role in supporting site safety across a major industrial and logistics project. The role offers clear and rapid progression into a Health and Safety Advisor position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and monitoring of site health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings and assisting in the development of corrective actions.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation including RAMS, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
* Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company and legal safety requirements.
* Help promote a positive health and safety culture across all levels of the project.
* Support the investigation of incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, ensuring lessons learned are shared effectively.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of health and safety standards and practices across the business.
Requirements
* Experience working within construction, ideally on industrial, logistics, or large commercial projects.
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards it).
* Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
* A proactive and hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to be fully site-based in Chichester.
