I'm looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a dynamic team working on critical infrastructure projects that keep the UK’s power networks running. Your new role
1. Handle service requests, incidents, and problems via a Jira-based ITSM system
2. Automate software installations, deployments, and upgrades using Chocolatey for Business
3. Deploy new systems/services on secure infrastructure using DevOps tools like Ansible
4. Perform routine maintenance, patching, testing, upgrades, and proactive performance monitoring
5. Deliver cutting-edge IT and customer projects
6. Assist with disaster recovery planning and execution
7. Create and maintain technical documentation and provide end-user training
8. Manage asset lifecycles, procurement, and liaise with suppliers
9. Implement and optimise IT security measures
10. Support ISO 27001pliance and conduct internal audits
What you'll need to succeed
11. 1+ years’ experience in an IT engineer or technical support role
12. Strong customer service andmunication skills
13. Ability to analyse and resolve technical issues efficiently
14. IT infrastructure certifications pTIA Network+, Server+, Security+, CCNA)
15. Proficiency in networking, routing protocols, and network engineering
16. Experience with VPN, Firewall, and WAN technologies
17. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git
18. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
