<div><p>Randox Laboratories is looking for two Scientists to join our External Quality Assessment (EQA) team.</p><h3>What does this team do?</h3><p>Randox’s Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS) is a global external quality assessment (EQA) program designed to help clinical laboratories monitor and improve the accuracy and reliability of their diagnostic testing. RIQAS provides:</p><ul><li><b>External quality assessment</b> programs across a wide range of clinical disciplines such as clinical chemistry, haematology, immunoassay, coagulation, blood gas, urinalysis, and therapeutic drug monitoring.</li><li><b>Regular performance monitoring</b> through bi‑weekly or monthly reports comparing a lab’s results to those of other labs using similar methods and instruments.</li><li><b>High‑quality, ready‑to‑use liquid samples</b> that mimic real human samples to ensure the assessments are relevant and reliable.</li><li><b>An easy‑to‑use online portal (RIQAS.net)</b> where labs can submit their results, access reports, and track their performance over time.</li><li><b>Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043</b>, ensuring the program meets international standards for proficiency testing.</li></ul><h3>Location</h3><p><b>Randox Science Park</b> (30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4LF).</p><h3>Contract Offered</h3><p>Full‑time, permanent.</p><h3>What does this role involve?</h3><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Troubleshooting internal and external technical queries.</li><li>Analyzing data and preparing special reports to support resolution of technical queries.</li><li>Validating participant reports prior to dispatch.</li><li>Surveilling performance of UK‑based participants in collaboration with the National Quality Assurance Advisory Panel (NQAAP).</li><li>Designing and planning RIQAS programmes (existing and new); developing and maintaining RIQAS software and participating in external audits.</li><li>Providing technical advice on RIQAS and assisting in its promotion.</li><li>Training other staff members within the team and supporting Randox representatives and distributors.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology, or a Life Science discipline.</li><li>Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills.</li><li>Computer‑literacy, particularly with data handling.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong numerical skills for scientific calculations.</li><li>Eligibility to work in the UK.</li><li>Previous experience with proficiency testing schemes or clinical diagnostics.</li><li>Understanding of proficiency testing software and statistics.</li></ul><p>Randox Laboratories Limited is an Equal Opportunities Employer.</p></div>
