We are looking for a passionate and experienced Infant Feeding Practitioner to join our dynamic community team. This fantastic opportunity allows you to support families, improve infant feeding outcomes, and contribute to Lancashire’s continued UNICEF Baby Friendly Gold Accreditation. The role requires travel across Lancashire.
Salary: £39,959 – £48,117 pro rata (Band 6 AfC Salary) with NHS Pension and full Agenda for Change terms and conditions. Key Responsibilities
* Support delivery and sustainability of UNICEF Baby Friendly standards across community services.
* Provide clinical support and advice to families, including complex infant feeding cases.
* Deliver training, mentorship and education to multi‑agency staff, including nursing and medical teams.
* Lead and contribute to audits, service evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
* Promote culture change through campaigns, engagement and partnership working.
* Contribute to policy development and service improvement.
* Analyse data and evidence to inform and enhance service delivery.
* Engage with service users to ensure services are co‑produced and responsive to need.
* Present best practice and service developments through reports or presentations.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Midwife.
* Further study in lactation and infant feeding.
* Experience working in multi‑agency environments.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience delivering care both face‑to‑face and virtually.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload and solve problems.
* Demonstrated leadership capability.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Willingness to travel across Lancashire.
* Teaching or assessing qualification.
