The Chief Engineer Role
This is a backshift position, where you’ll work late afternoons into the evenings, Monday to Friday. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Lead a dynamic team of engineers, works staff, and subcontractors to deliver the project with the utmost safety and performance standards.
* Ensure technical compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
* Monitor the project program and assess potential risks and opportunities daily across design, procurement, and construction activities.
* Develop and implement Temporary Works proposals.
* Build and maintain excellent relationships with the client team.
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone who embodies strong leadership and collaboration. Here’s what you should bring:
* Proven leadership skills.
* A collaborative spirit with excellent team-working abilities.
* Experience in delivering multi-million-pound nuclear projects or similar regulated environments.
* Expertise in reinforced concrete construction.
* Solid knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards.
