The Vacancy
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified and experienced teacher, committed to enabling students to realise their highest academic potential. The post is, initially, for one year; minimum 4 days and flexible for 5 days. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who will convey an enthusiasm and commitment for his/her subject to the students. Very good organisational and management skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities are subject to the general duties and responsibilities contained in the National Statement of Employment.
Essential criteria
1. Qualified teacher status as recognised by the Department of Education NI and registered with GTCNI by time of appointment.
2. An Honours degree 2:2 or above in Business Studies or relevant subject area.
3. Experience of teaching Business Studies up to and including GCSE within the last 5 years.
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of teaching Business Studies up to and including A Level within the last 5 years.
2. Experience of teaching a second subject up to and including GCSE: Economics, History, ICT, English or ANO
3. Experience of developing employability and entrepreneurship skills.
