We have an exciting opportunity to join the Boots Opticians Central Operations Team on a 12-month secondment, helping to shape and deliver the store workload activity plan - acting as the hub for store activity and communication.
In this role, you'll ensure activity is carefully planned and effectively communicated through an engaging What's In Store Pack, while using the MyHub platform to share tasks, track completion, and provide timely updates to store teams.
About the role
This role puts you right at the centre of everything that reaches our stores, ensuring activity is planned and communicated clearly. Reporting into the Business & Workload Planning Manager, you'll act as the gatekeeper of store workload, connecting with support office, field, and store teams. You'll take ownership of the What's In Store Pack, making it engaging and easy to follow, and use the MyHub platform to ensure tasks are shared and completed effectively, and that key updates reach colleagues at the right time with clear information and guidance.
Key responsibilities
1. Maintain an effective activity plan that accurately captures stakeholder requests, and ensures workload does not overloaded colleague capacity
2. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand new activity and agree the best solutions for landing and communicating to stores
3. Champion the voice of stores, protecting capacity and raising workload concerns when needed
4. Create clear, engaging communications with stakeholders, including the monthly What's In Store Pack that keeps store teams informed and confident
5. Publish workload updates through the most appropriate channels, including MyHub/Yoobic, to ensure tasks are shared and completed effectively
6. Provide responsive support to store and field teams on activity, communications, and MyHub queries
What you'll need to have
7. Ability to build strong relationships across support office, field, and store teams
8. Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload
9. High attention to detail and accuracy
10. Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
11. Ability to work at pace and adapt quickly to changing priorities
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
