The Beatson West of Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Skin Cancer Specialist Team. The CNS role is highly specialised within the cancer centre, providing a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care. The CNS is expected to hold their own clinical caseload and manage patients in conjunction with the clinical team from diagnosis through the patient’s cancer journey. This journey can be complex and requires significant input from the CNS team.
The ACNS will be educated to postgraduate diploma level, having undertaken Non-Medical Prescribing, Clinical Assessment and Decision Making. This post is eligible for a trainee utilising the Annexe 21 framework.
Responsibilities
* Provide highly specialised nursing care within the Skin Cancer Specialist Team from diagnosis through the patient’s cancer journey.
* Hold and manage a clinical caseload in collaboration with the clinical team.
* Deliver holistic patient care and support to patients and families throughout treatment.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with advanced clinical expertise in cancer care.
* Postgraduate diploma level education with Non-Medical Prescribing, Clinical Assessment and Decision Making.
* Eligible for trainee status under the Annexe 21 framework.
