We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HMP Hatfield, a Category D prison located in Hatfield Woodhouse, Yorkshire.
About the Role
HMP Hatfield is a prison and young offender institution near Doncaster for men aged 18 and over. It is split into two sites, Hatfield Main and Hatfield Lakes.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 5 pm shifts, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary
Full‑time position. Annual salary £34,428 – £41,658 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates must have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
* Provide outstanding quality, patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and that standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
