Finance Manager

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to support our growing online retail business
About the Role:
Reporting to our Senior Group Finance Manager you will play a key role in delivering financial insight across our e-commerce operations, helping to drive performance, control costs, and support strategic decision-making. The role is to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead finance responsibility for e-commerce P&Ls, tracking and monitoring sales, gross & contribution margins, digital marketing spend, returns and other costs.
2. Finance Business Partner to the Marketing, Tech and Digital Management Teams, challenging trading performance, evaluating promotions, reviewing campaign ROI, analysing customer acquisition costs and conversion opportunities to improve profitability.
3. Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
4. Lead performance reviews throughout the month and at month-ends, including in-period P&L tracking, weekly analysis and highlighting risks and opportunities.
5. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
6. Identify cost efficiencies and process improvements.
7. Supporting the wider business reporting requirements.
8. Involvement in, and management of projects supporting financial governance.
Person Specification:
9. Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or qualified by experience
10. Strong management accounting and analytical skills
11. Advanced Excel skills
12. Experience with BI tools would be a plus
13. Understanding of profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow management
14. Ideally experienced in e-commerce, retail, or digital environments
15. Commercially aware with strong communication skills and the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly to both finance and non-finance team members.
