Pay and Hours
Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £13.70 an hour; this increases to £14.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer new colleagues at least 16 guaranteed hours per week, or a minimum of 12 hours if you prefer fewer.

About the role
Discover what it’s like to work in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll help customers with medicines, vaccinations, reviewing medication, checking blood pressure, and more. Work alongside experienced pharmacists and managers.
Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistants are integral to the running of our pharmacies. We are looking for a team player to take on the following responsibilities:
* Supporting the operation of one of our modern pharmacies.
* Accurately dispensing medication with strong customer focus.
* Dispensing prescription medicines with attention to detail.
* Communicating confidently, friendly, and professionally with customers.
* Offering information on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understanding customer needs and selling appropriate products.
* Advising customers on pharmacy services available.
* Delivering services and dispensing processes according to standard operating procedures.
* Assessing legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Dealing with clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within competence.
* Responding to customer queries about prescription medicines and informing the pharmacist of complaints.
* Ensuring dispensary routines and SOPs are followed.
* Maintaining cleanliness of dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Ensuring prescription administration is accurate and timely.
* Bringing promotional activities and company initiatives to life.
* Performing procedures accurately to protect profit and trade legally.
* Completing corporate and departmental training.
* Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications gained from working in a pharmacy environment.
* Desire to train and develop into the pharmacy field.
