Job Title: Youth Support Worker - Part time

Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract Type: Temporary - currently until end of June - with the possibility of extension
Working Hours: 18 hours - 14:00 - 21:00
Join an innovative youth service aimed at providing a vibrant range of free opportunities for young people aged 11 to 19 (up to 25 with SEND). Creating a safe spaces and engage youth in meaningful activities that promote personal and social development.
Your Role:
As a Youth Support Worker, you will:
Collaborate with a dynamic team to plan and deliver engaging youth activities.
Support young people in areas like health, bullying, and crime prevention.
Foster a positive environment where every voice matters.
Design and facilitate recreational programmes, including sports, arts, and drama.
Assess the individual needs of young people and provide tailored support.Key Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Empathy and understanding of youth challenges.
Patience and a calm demeanour in stressful situations.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Suite and databases).Qualifications:
Minimum Level 1/2 NVQ JNC-recognised qualification or equivalent.
Experience working with vulnerable youth is a plus, especially those with SEND.
