Hybrid working (Tues-Thurs in office)
£30,000-£35,000 + uncapped commission + quarterly bonuses
A rare chance to step into an established, well-respected legal recruitment desk with real momentum behind it. You won’t be building a market from scratch. You will be working with long-standing clients, active roles and a highly trusted brand from day one.

You’ll inherit an active, high-performing desk covering Yorkshire and the North East. Clients already know the brand and take calls. You’ll be working live briefs quickly supported by directors who have decades of market credibility.
This isn’t a cold-start environment but it does require someone who can deepen relationships, spot opportunities and handle nuanced client conversations.
2. Relationship-led, not metric-led
You won’t be judged on call numbers or told to fire out CVs. Success here comes from understanding your clients in detail, advising them intelligently and matching people thoughtfully.
Directors are hands-on recruiters themselves. They understand the job and support consultants, not micromanage them.
3. Real hybrid flexibility
Typically Tues-Thurs in office. Outside of that, you’ll be trusted to manage your time around candidates, clients and your own commitments.
4. A long-term opportunity, not a stopgap
This starts with taking responsibility for a maternity-cover desk, but there is a clear permanent role beyond that. When the consultant returns, you’ll transition into another well-established market, again with warm relationships and ongoing work.
You’re always stepping into momentum, never dropped into an empty market.
5. Strong earnings without unrealistic pressure
Low thresholds, uncapped commission and quarterly bonuses mean consultants routinely add £40k-£50k+ on top of base when performing well.
