Salary / Rate: £29,000 per annum, plus a 10% performance related bonus

The Role
We’re recruiting a Business Development Executive to manage and grow our Pladis account across Guildford and the surrounding areas. You’ll build strong relationships with store decision‑makers, negotiate additional displays, increase distribution and visibility, and drive sales for well‑known household brands.
Responsibilities
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll take full ownership of your area, working closely with the Regional Manager and a supportive field team to deliver against agreed KPIs.
* Managing a territory and planning visits around store manager availability to maximise opportunities
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with store managers and key decision‑makers
* Negotiating additional displays and promotional activity
* Driving distribution, availability and compliance across the agreed product rangesExecuting merchandising activity in line with brand guidelines
* Actively selling and promoting products to maximise sales and visibility
* Using sales data to track performance and identify growth opportunities
Qualifications
We are ideally looking for a candidate who has the following skills and experience.
* Experience working in field sales or a similar role
* Strong communication skills and confidence influencing stakeholders
* Excellent time management and territory planning ability
* Be self‑motivated and results‑driven
* A full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points and no previous bans)
Nice to Have:
* Experience working in convenience, independents or impulse environment
* Merchandising or POS execution experience
* Direct selling skills
