We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of specific facilities, including the hangar buildings. The role encompasses responsibility for all structural and cosmetic aspects of the buildings, both internally and externally, as well as the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical support services within the hangar.
You will implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime and ensure compliance with government regulations such as The Fire Safety Regulations.
The role requires close collaboration with the procurement team to manage and negotiate contracts, assist with Invitations to Tender, and engage with subcontractors for specialist works, including supervision and escorting where necessary.
You will develop and manage annual financial budgets, monitor utility expenses, and justify capital expenditure for major maintenance projects.
Supporting sustainability initiatives is a key part of the role, including monitoring energy consumption and implementing ‘green’ initiatives. Additionally, you will take responsibility for the security of the company’s facilities, including personnel security.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage maintenance of buildings covering structural, cosmetic, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
* Implement and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
* Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations, including Fire Safety.
* Collaborate with procurement for contract management, negotiation, and tender support.
* Engage and supervise subcontractors for specialist works.
* Develop and manage annual budgets, track utilities, and justify capital expenditure.
* Support sustainability efforts by monitoring energy use and implementing green initiatives.
* Take responsibility for security of company facilities and personnel on site.
* Perform other duties as required in line with Facilities and HSE teams.
Required Skills
* Facilities management expertise, including building maintenance and services (plumbing, mechanical, electrical)
* Knowledge of government regulations, especially Fire Safety Regulations
* Experience in contract management and negotiation
* Budget development and financial management skills
* Ability to manage and supervise subcontractors
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Experience in sustainability and energy management initiatives

* Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems (desirable)

Certifications & Standards

* Security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance may be required
