NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
Looking to apply for your first Registered Midwifery post? You have come to the right place!
NHS Tayside is delighted to welcome applications from both Final Year Midwifery Students expecting to receive their registration in late 2026 or early 2027, and Newly Qualified Midwives seeking their first registered post.
These are rotational posts, with an element of on call expectation across NHS Tayside including Angus, Dundee and Perth areas. We are working towards the implementation of a full continuity model, where midwives follow women through their own individual journey and preferred place of birth – this could be in a home setting, Community Midwifery Unit or Labour Suite.
Applications will undergo a thorough shortlisting process conducted by the Midwifery Service prior to interview selection. The decision making will consider your learning, skills, experience, and the values that you have described within your assessment form. Once the matching process is complete, you will be contacted to advise and discuss your job offer.
Interviews will take place on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd June 2026.
