Hays are working with a global leading design and architecture firm that is involved with a wide range of significant projects which include some of the most prestigious buildings in England. Projects range from newbuilds, redevelopments, largemercial fitouts, sports stadiums and many more.
Your new role
You will lead the delivery of Principal Designer duties across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring health and safety is implemented throughout the design process. You will play a key part in the team, supporting the director and training/mentoring junior members of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations, managing design risk from concept topletion.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to influence safe design oues.
3. Prepare and maintain pre-construction information and health and safety files.
4. Lead design risk workshops and provide expert guidance to project teams.
5. Ensurepliance with statutory obligations and best practice standards.
6. Improve approach, process and oues.
7. Strong written and verbalmunication where you will liaise with senior stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
8. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
9. Demonstrable experience in a Principal Designer role within the built environment.
10. Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and design risk management.
11. Excellentmunication and stakeholder engagement skills.
12. Membership of APS or similar professional body is desirable.
