HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver

Build Depot Ltd has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) HIAB Driver to join our team at our Greenock depot.
This is a full-time, permanent position working within a friendly and professional team delivering building materials across West Central Scotland.
Build Depot is a well-established, family-run builders’ merchant supplying trade and retail customers with timber, building, landscaping and insulation materials. The business forms part of the Rodger Group, which operates multiple branches across the region.
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to residential and commercial sites using our 26-tonne HIAB vehicles.
This role involves working closely with our yard and sales teams to ensure orders are loaded correctly and delivered to customers safely and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver building materials to trade and retail customers across West Central Scotland
* Operate 26t HIAB crane vehicles for safe unloading of goods on customer sites
* Load vehicles in the yard using forklifts and other handling equipment
* Occasionally deliver smaller orders using company vans where required
* Assist with manual offloading of materials when necessary
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance inspections
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation
* Provide a professional and helpful service to customers on site
* Follow all health & safety procedures
Requirements
Applicants must have:
* HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
* Valid CPC qualification
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Clean or low-points driving licence
*
The following would be advantageous:
* HIAB certification
* Experience delivering building materials
* Knowledge of the builders merchant or construction sector
Training can be provided for suitable candidates where required.
Working Hours
* Monday – Friday: 7.30am – 4:30pm
* Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am – 11:00am
