You will provide confidential, efficient, and proactive support to the Archdeacon, acting as a key point of contact for clergy, diocesan staff, and external organisations. The role involves servicing committees, coordinating pastoral visits, managing diary appointments, and supporting clergy vacancies and training events. You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the Archdeacon's office.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Servicing meetings and committees including Wakefield Bishop's Breakfast, Area Mission and Pastoral Committee, and Tanzanian Diocesan Links.
* Coordinating pastoral visits, visitations, and churchwarden communications.
* Supporting clergy vacancy administration and liaising with applicants and referees.
* Managing the Archdeacon's diary, correspondence, and confidential records.
* Providing hospitality and welcoming visitors.
* Handling petty cash and liaising with the Finance Team.
